Solid and accurate

Fluke makes solid Multimeters. I had an older model with similar features that I used off and on for well over 30 years and it finally stopped working. I considered purchasing a cheap replacement from a big box store but quickly got hold of my senses and bought a similar Fluke replacement online. The quick dial makes using this Fluke quick and easy.. The build is solid but my old model did come with an additional rubberized cover which withstood some very long drops [10 feet on concrete] which I doubt this one could withstand. This one works well and seems equally as well built. If it lasts 30 years it will likely out live me which I expect will happen.

I'm thrilled with the build quality of the fluke 179 multimeter. It's a fluke!
The only microbial disappointment is that the fluke 179 doesn't have a "REL" button to zero the leads. However, it's easy enough to do in your head and not a reason to deduct any stars. This meter will likely last me the rest of my life, and hopefully one of my children will inherit it for the rest of their life too. Gee, I wonder if the lifetime warranty is transferable, lol.
