This is a solid brush axe. However, it did not arrive sharp and will need to be sharpened before use. Which is a little bit of a pain that I need to buy a scythe stone right away. Otherwise the handle seems to be high quality. I am a big/tall guy so the weight isn't a problem but I can see how some may say it's too heavy. Although it's really just the blade that has the weight to it, handle is light. Looks like you could swap out the blade if you wanted from the three screws at the base of the blade. Will update my comment after sharpening and first use.
