It arrived about 5 days after ordering and I'm writing this review after using it 5 or 6 times so far. Setup was a breeze. I actually put it together while watching a video. And trust me, I'm allergic to tools - they make me break out in frustration. I NEVER attempt to put anything together if I hear the rattle of screws in the delivery box. :) I usually hand it over to someone... my son, my husband. But, when it arrived I was home alone, and was so anxious to use it that I dared to put it together myself. And it was a breeze (despite the limited instructions which was just pictures). If I can do it, anyone can! :)

Love how quiet it is! Wow! And it dries WAaaay faster than that counter top dryer I had. I have very rarely used hair dryers but recently changed the way I style my hair. I'm African American with shoulder length natural curly hair spending WAY too much time on styling then discovered a quicker wash-and-go style which prompted me to get a dryer. It works! Super fast in-shower styling and super fast drying! Love it! (oh, and for my sista naturalistas, just search for "TRUE Wash & Go Styling for Kinkier Hair Types | Hair Rules" on YouTube for that quicker in-shower wash and go method.

I love that it dries so evenly all around my head. No wet/damp spots like with a counter-top dryer. I keep the setting on 60 and that works fast enough for me. But I like that you can run it at a very low or cool temp as well if you prefer no heat. When drying, I like that it seems to cycle through heat then cooler while drying. Not sure why it does that but hey, it works perfectly.

And yes, that daggone bell is LOUD when it shuts off. I forget that every time I use it. Startles me all the time. :)

Oh, and it is indeed top heavy so be careful when moving it around or it could topple over.

NOTE: Give it a minute or two to warm up to the temperature you set it at. It blows cool for a little bit. I usually turn it on about 3-5 mins before I need to get under it so it's ready when I'm ready.

This no name hair dryer was delivered earlier than expected. Setup wasn't difficult. The temp control is an awesome for sensitive scalp.

SEPT. 30, 2014 UPDATE: For the first 30 days, hold onto your box. This isn't an Amazon item so if you need to send it back anytime thereafter, you will have to pay 1) return shipping and 2) $25.00 restocking fee. Also, the head on this dryer is not very deep or extremely wide to accommodate a lot of rollers Therefore, it will be uncomfortable trying to dry your hair with limited movement. Unfortunately, I must sell this because I prefer to set my hair bi-weekly or at least monthly. Any taker's? Mint cond.

I waited 6 mos to write this review because I wanted to be sure it atleast lasted that long. This thing is perfect for home use. I use it on myself and my daughter. roller sets come out perfect. twistouts dry in half the time wash and go's have less shrinkage because the gel cast sets faster. I'm so glad i ordered this product. It is top heavy when you try and roll it I support the bottom and top as I push but it mainly stays in one spot. The bell can be a bit startling but mainly because you tune out the sound of the dryer so when the timer goes off you've forgotten what you were doing. i dont find it necessary to crank the heat all the way up, at mid range my hair is dry in about 40min. In Short... I love this dryer and if anything happened to it I would gladly purchase again. I ordered my dryer the week of Christmas it was on my doorstep the next day

The hair dryer is truly awesome and works exactly like a hair dryer at the salon. I was concerned that the wattage wouldn't be enough since I was use to a tabletop hair dryer with almost double the wattage. It actually gets way too hot at the maximum heat setting, I'm setting it at 60-65 degrees, and my hair is thick-thick-thick. The bell that lets you know time is up will totally startle you, gets me every time. I was so happy with how fast it shipped and was delivered to me. It came within a week, actually 4-days to be exact. The assembly took me less than 20-mins. and I have absolutely no vocational skills, just "Beauty" Hehehe. I was skeptical at first sight that the stand would not be able to support the weight of the bonnet, since it is "L-A-R-G-E". It is doing the job pretty darn well, although the springs inside the post is sort of noisy-sounds rusty like, but Oh-well. I bought this dryer because I went to Sally's Beauty supply, and they wanted $180, and I still had to wait for it to ship since they don't keep it in the store. For the price, I feel I got what I paid for, and I'm happy. My friends and family love coming over to use it. It's a good way to get closer to people you otherwise can't find time for.

My washing/drying regime has been the same since 7th grade, so investing in hair tools can really be worth it.. I am half black/hispanic and been on relaxers at a tender age so taking care of my hair is EXTREMELY important. I have had been through about 4 different hooded hair dryers before ordering this one-- which is a lot. Although I just received this tool, a good hair dryer should last at least a couple to a few years. Anyway, I experienced complications putting the dryer together but customer service was diligent about getting back to me. I finally got it set up, and absolutely love my purchase. The dryer evenly dries my hair, at just about any temperature, and all in 30 minutes. For me, 30 minutes is a new record. I use rollers to dry my hair and I was worried that it would not fit under the blue shield, but there is actually quite a bit of room with my head in it. Only downfall is that the hood and heating part is heavy, so be sure to not stretch the electrical cord too far or else the dryer will topple over. This dryer leaves my hair feeling soooo soft and healthy. I can't keep my hands out of my hair.....very impressed.
