The battery didn't last long at all a need a replacement it won't hold a charge a did exactly what the instructions said to do I got about a weeks worth out of it

Really cool little radio! This thing has a while lot of features and makes a great addition the gear I bring on hiking or fishing trips. I didn't have to crank it for very long to get 8 or 9 hours worth of radio listening, and I left the light on just to see how long it took for the battery to drain (this was leaving it on overnight) and come morning time it was still playing music and shining its flashlight. I should've gotten one a long time ago

- Using the Shortwave with just the rechargeable battery and standard antenna, I picked up, with reasonable reception, a conversation from people who said they were in Texas, and great - clear as a bell - reception from what sounded like a station (speaking in Spanish?) that announced they were in Florida, and I AM IN MICHIGAN!!!!
- It seems to have good reception, and the speaker sounds surprisingly good!

I bought this product mainly for use as an emergency radio. However, it has many other features that could prove useful in such circumstances, such as a flashlight and reading light. All of this at a reasonable price. The hand crank for recharging the unit is easy to use though several other options are available. The price was reasonable give its features.
