Good for the price. If you grind occasionally it will do the job. The main drawback is when using sausage casings. The pork I grind (which is the only reason I bought this) always gets clogged up behind the holed plate. The shoot you stuff the meat down can also get blocked up. Probably best used for leaner means like beef or chicken.

I spend more time unclogging this thing than getting ground meat. I have the meat semi-frozen and take off as much sinew as possible. Tried all three grinder plates with chicken breast, chicken thighs, and pork loin. Every 30 seconds I'm back unclogging the machine. This is much more trouble than its worth. I also don't trust the plastic gears the manufacturer brags about will last very long. Looks like planned obsolescence. The machine smell is awful as well.

My mom enjoys making her pupusas out of this machine I got her for mother's day. Maybe not as accurate as the handmade/old school grinder she had but! this does the job. I would suggest watching a few vids and reading instructions carefully before forcing a lot of stuff. We figured the amount it takes to keep it running and it works perfect.
Putting the machine together was easy, cleaning it up was easy too

I just received the grinder on Sunday, and ground up probably 10 pounds of deer within 2 minutes. Putting the machine together was easy, cleaning it up was easy too! I washed the parts by hand. I noticed on one of the parts the black residue that was mention in previous comments but this did not bother me, or bother the meat any so I'm not worried about it. So far I have no problems! I think this machine will work out just fine since I only plan on using it once or twice a year to grind up maybe 25 lbs of deer and 10 lbs of turkey max. Satisfied Customer.

Bought this as an entry-level grinder, and was afraid it was too inexpensive to be good. Wrong. It works really well! I freeze the meat till it's firm and it works like a champ. Use vegetable oil to lubricate it. Make sure the cutting blade is smooth-side in. I had it backwards at first and meat came out like foam. The instruction inside don't show that part of the assembly very well.
