The cobler and the Apocalypse.
Ken M H•July 16, 2017
I expected the heels to be larger than needed. I went online and via YouTube found out how to replace worn heels. With the right adhesive, a stiff sharp knife and a belt sander (supported and turned upside down) it was easy. Now when the apocalypse comes and the leaders of the survivors are selecting craftsmen from the crowds to help rebuild a broken down society I will have a position as a cobbler. New shoes will not exist so anyone capable of repairing exiting shoes will be more valuable than any therapist, teacher or lawyer.
Lots of use and still going.

Exactly as described. Quick delivery. Lots of trimming for my application though.
Heal your heels

These are great heels. Better than the original shoe heels. Will last three times longer. I have replaced the heels on three pairs of shoes with these and I've had no problems. They wear very slowly. I have one pair that I wear almost daily, about 5 days a week for about 8 hrs a day. It's been three month since I replaced the heels, and the heel is almost new.
Turned out pretty well and made them look / feel like new ...

Purchased these heels in attempt to repair the heels on my daily dress shoes. I have never resoled a shoe before, but figured I either give this a try or toss the shoes. I began by removing the old rubber, then sanding the remaining wood-like surface below. I then applied a generous amount of "Shoe-Goo" to both sides. Placed a weight in the shoe, then let them sit for about 24 hours. The next day I took the shoe to the belt sander to clean up the edges and make everything even. Then applied some stain to the wood-like surfaces which got scuffed. Turned out pretty well and made them look / feel like new again!
Made the heels of my boots much quieter!!
Amazon Customer•June 29, 2014
I got these to quiet the clunking noise from my boots with tapered hallow plastic heels. They worked like a charm! I'm no longer self-conscious from the noise of every step. These were a little hard to cut to size. After tracing them to fit my heels, I cut them with a scroll saw which worked well. A utility knife would probably work, but take much longer. I attached them with Shoe Goo and found you don't need much. I read that some people clamped them on to dry. I had trouble with them sliding, so I used small nails from a set of hard cheap heel plates that I had tried and removed, as they didn't help. I bet tight rubber bands would have worked well too.
At first, I took my boots to 2 shoe repair shops to see if they had anything that could quiet my heels. They said they're cheap hallow plastic and nothing would work, or hold. Well, they were wrong and I did it myself!
