Gets The Job Done
Fatima•August 31, 2017
I had a small chain stuck in the bottom of my washing machine. I was able to open the cover. the issue was that I need to remove the spinning pan to get to the chain. I google and found that this is the tool that would help me get that done. I was able to remove the ring yet was unable to remove the spinning pan because it looks like it was stuck pretty good. the tool did the job, but my washer machine has issues. Overall I would recommend buying this tool if you like me need to open your washer machine.
Works well but photos confusing

Works well and is robust, did the job on a rusty washer/dryer nut when I had to use a heavy hammer.
Note to seller: 1. Show a pic of the underside of the wrench to show the 4 lugs and thereby avoid confusion.
2. Give some dimensions of the wrench and especially the hex. ( It is 1 3/4 across flats BTW)
The wrench is 1/2 inch thick and the hex is 5/16 inch thick

It works for a lot less money than the true tool.

You MUST have some type of spanner tool like this. No normal wrench is going to work. You can get the proper tool for ~$50, or get this which is a bit big for the WH2X1193 Hub Nut. It worked though, and even though it's larger than the nut it didn't damage the nut. We took turns beating it to death for probably a half hour with a heavy hammer and several applications of penetrating oil (small mallet sledge would have been better). Not much room to swing but eventually it starts turning more and more. Kept one hand on the tool to keep it in place. Because it's two pieces which just seemed like more problems I glued mine together with Goop glue (stays flexible, so it survived the hammering).
Ended up replacing the nut because the threads were corroded. The gasket seal was completely corroded. There is metal inside it which was rusted through. The split washer was ok (scraped off mineral deposits). The chromed flat washer seemed ok (slight loss of the plating with some corrosion).

Good tool, fast shipment, if only it would say what size the actual nut-hole is...

The key itself is pretty good, it did not fit exactly into the large nut of my laundry machine, it was quite wider, but with some skill and style, I managed to make it work.
That's the only negative thing, and why I almost did not gave the 6 stars: The publication has a general indication of size, but one has to realize how much is the wrench size (or the nut size it is intended for) based on the images...
In the other hand, if I had known how big it was, I might not have bought it, but in hindsight, I'm glad I did.
As of the shipping, it was incredibly fast considering distance. It took only 6 days (5 and a half, actually) to be at my door. Great!!
Regards!

Not perfect fit

This tool is a bit too big, not snug like the factory tools i saw on you tube. It would still work but you might need to set it back after every hit. With that said, it's best to tape the 2 pieces together so they dont separate after each hit. In my case, i couldnt remove the bolt until i drilled 4 holes on 4 corners with 3/16 bit, starting with 1/8. The material was pretty soft to drill and dont drill too deep that might hit the tub. After drilling, i used the tool again and after a few hits, the nut broke into pieces. I thought that was the toughest part until i tried to pull the inner tub out. It was bondded to the shaft and i couldn separate it, even after removing all the deposits around the shaft.
