Worthless piece of junk, except as a sledge hammer ...

Worthless piece of junk, except as a sledge hammer. Slightly sharper than a bowling ball. I guess if you've got a bench grinder you could spend a half hour and ruin a grinding wheel getting it sharp enough.

Loose head after one swing
Jason Bracci✓ Verified PurchaseJune 23, 2016
This thing sucks. First time using it the head comes loose. Just looking at how the head is secured to the handle I knew it was going to be a problem. It came with a single round steel wedge and the end was already split. The head itself is quality, but if it slips half way off the handle after every log what's the point. Don't buy this splitting maul. Go to Lowes or Home Depot.
