Perfect knife for everyday carry.

This is not my first Case pocket knife but it is my favourite. Perfect size for everyday carry. The only thing I would change is to bring back the Carbon Steel blades instead of the Stainless but that unfortunately isn't an option.

If your familiar with Case knives then you know that quality of materials and workmanship are good that being said I am [to be fair] a traditionalist, in that, I favour the classic look, feel and functionality of this style of knife to the more "modern" style. Open assist, tanto blades and polymer handles and the like just don't feel right in hand. They feel flimsy and cheaply made to me. But it's here nor there as it is only my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Case manufacturing is more automated and has gotten far removed from employing "craftsmen" for the love of higher profit margins but unless you're going to have a knife handmade by a true craftsman Case is still a good option.
Can't go wrong with a Case Peanut

As a boy I learned from my dad that it's not the size of a blade that's important; rather, it's how sharp it is. The peanut rides in the watch pocket of my jeans, and I don't know it's there unless I come up with a use for it. I have yet to come up with a function only a larger knife would perform. The clip blade appears deceptively large--almost as though it wouldn't fit back inside the body of the knife. I also have a Baby Butterbean that I love--shown below with this knife. It's about the same size as the Peanut, but the blade on the latter knife, although not as wide, is 1/4 inch longer. The additional pen blade--so named because they were used to sharpen quills--is nice to have for functions you don't want to use the main clip blade for. Case knives are works of art in addition to being functional tools. The workmanship is flawless--almost like a piece of jewelry. I looked at dozens of Peanuts while making my selection, and kept coming back to this Harvest Orange Bone version. Love it!
Stays sharp

I've always been a fan of Case knives and particulary the peanut design because of it's size. It's the perfect size to carry in your pocket without being too heavy and there aren't a lot of reasons to need anything bigger in day to day life. I do collect these knives and have several that are much prettier than this particular knife but this is the one that I carry. I had another knife just like this one that I carried for several years before I lost it and I haven't been able to find anything as good since. This knife has a really sharp edge and holds that edge for a long time. You can cut just about anything with this knife and then make a clean swipe through a sheet of paper afterwards. If you want something pretty to carry around look for a different design, but if you're looking for a good knife that will last a long time and stay sharp, you can't go wrong with this one.
Beautiful little pocket knife

I've had an old Schrade USA made Barlow for 20 years + that my dad gave me as a kid. It simply wore out, and this was what I settled on to replace it. This is a beautiful example of why we really need to bring manufacturing back to the USA, it is beautiful, and built to tolerances that you will not find on cheap imported junk. The Barlow was also well built mind you, but the quality of this knife is superior. The bone handle is beautiful, and I would wager I will get just as long if not longer out of this one. Once you smooth out the factory edge, you could shave with this little guy!

Very sharp right out of the box and hair-popping sharp after I touched it up a bit. I think I am going to like the chrome-vanadium steel a lot. Excellent fit and finish - smooth transitions from bolsters to scales and flush pins. Blades are centered dead nuts. Nice red dye on the jigged bone scales. Fits just right in the coin pocket of my jeans. A very, very, nice little pocket knife - I think I am going to pick up a couple more Case knives in different models and maybe one with genuine stag scales.
