Did exactly what I needed it to. Moved into a new house with very hard dry dirt in the flower beds. Used this to loosen up the dirt to be able to put in some plants. Dug a bunch of holes and even got tangled up in roots a few times. The auger has held up to it all and still working perfectly.

Every once in a while you buy a tool and think "Why didn't I buy this 20 years ago?" That is the case with this tool. After struggling for years to dig holes deep enough to properly plant flower bulbs, using various devices, I decided to give this a shot. It is amazing, and I can zip along digging a number of holes in seconds that probably used to take an hour or more. One of the best tools that I have ever purchased!

First off the product is 2 inch not 1 3/4 inch. I know that sounds nitpicky but for my purpose that makes it too large. 1 3/4 was already pushing it and this misslable makes it nearly useless for me. Also the material it is made from is SUPER cheap. One use and it ground down the shaft till it broke. Total and complete garbage. The end wasn't even boxed out so it could grip a drill chuck properly. It is just a shaft. I would give this item a 0 if I could but Ill settle for a 1 I guess.
