Good to listen to baseball games.
atrox13•August 13, 2017
This is my baseball radio. It is way to big for that job but I wanted to see if the am voice was crystal clear like the mfg said. I am a little hard of hearing and it is crystal clear audio to me. I also can hear the crowd in the background that was just a noise on other radios. I like that I do not have to extend and antennas for am reception. I do not like that you have to use batteries to keep it from forgetting stations when you unplug it.

This one has very good reception but the pre select buttons will do not ...

My second one. First one lasted twenty years until I wore the pre select buttons out. This one has very good reception but the pre select buttons will do not respond well. They select a station other than the one they are programmed to select.

Major AM reception improvements over the CCRadio-2 and Original CCRadio

Most of my experience with it, so far, is on AM, where it works really well.
Only thing that takes some getting used to is that it takes several seconds to "pull out" a distant and weak station signal, slowing down a dial scan. But it is well worth the wait! Even a spurious "image" of a local radio station on a different frequency -- so far, I've only experienced this once -- disappeared after a few seconds.
It does not eliminate all noise, but rotating the radio slowly usually identifies a spot where a radio station dominates over background noise.
Does not support HD Radio or display RDS data, both of which would display information on the music and station being listened to.
