This is the third string of these lights I have bought. I love them but they can be fragile so take your time mounting them. It's best to put the string up first and them screw in the bulbs. I put mine up under a wooden deck where I have a cement patio. The first time around I tried to mount them directly to the wood with 3M Command Outdoor Light Clips (17017CLR-AWES) but those came loose after a few days and I ended up with two broken bulbs. This time I used a staple gun and attached some wire I got a Lowes to the underside of the deck first and then I attached the sting lights to the wire with zip ties.
