tip is not secured properly to probe, broke on first day

The tip of the unit came off during the first day of use, when I inserted it in clay soil. The soil just pulled the tip off. The tip is somewhere deep in the ground and can not be repair even if I can find the tip. If you buy it, make sure to either use it only on flowering pots or very gently on garden soils.
