and I now I am happy with my purchase

This is my first experience using fast-adjusting block dumbbells. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to use, and I now I am happy with my purchase. They are more comfortable to use than some other brands I tested at Dick's. My only complaint is that the prongs you insert to set the weight are very flexible and tend to overshoot the slot, basically trying to insert themselves around two weight settings. When trying to rapidly adjust weights for burnouts, this is irritating. If they just made the prongs stiffer so that they tended to select one weight setting without a fuss, I would raise my rating to 5 stars (I feel they deserve 4 1/2 if it were an option). Haven't used long, but they seem well build. I appreciate that they don't roll like round dumbbells, which was one of the selling points. One of my concerns was that they might a little awkward setting down when muscles are fatigued. Turns out to be not an issue whatsoever.
Outstanding Dumbbells

I have owned this dumbbell set for well over three years. This set is outstanding and the simple, user friendly design will most likely outlast my lifetime. I used these weights on a near daily basis for the last three years and they show no negative signs of wear. There are minimal blemishes, but that is expected after years of use. They are compact, durable, and built to last. I have seen several of the competitors brands on show room floors and more often than not they were broken/damaged in some way or another. I honestly do not see how someone can damage these due to the simple, yet effective design. DO NOT wait any longer you will not be disappointed with these!!!
Best of the adjustable dumbbells, especially with the heavier weights.

Have tried many adjustable dumbbells and these are my favorites. All adjustable weights have there limitations as far a durability in that you can't drop them or hit them together but for any controlled movement these are great. Bowflex 50lb set are nice as well but the set to 90 tends to fall apart and aren't stable. These are great up to 50 but then you can easily add additional weights up to 90 lbs without having to buy a new set like bowflex. And the quality and functionality stays the same.

With proper use I imagine these will last a long time. The adjustments are quick and solid are way more convenient then the old school adding weight to the end and tightening them down.
Powerblock or Bowflex

These are great weights. I have worked out all my life. I played football in highschool and college and was always in the weight room. I own the bow flex adjustable weights. I liked them at first. After having them for a few months I started experiencing pain in my right elbow. (Tennis elbow) I'm 38 so I assumed it was an old age thing. Took some months off to get better. When I stared back My wife started back working out with me. She too has has a long history of being into fitness. After a couple of months I ended up with the same pain in my other elbow and she developed tennis elbow too. The bow flex weights are longer than regular dumbells. This may contribute to this. (Also makes it difficult to perform certain lifts) The power blocks are compact, balanced and feel great! Adjusting them is much better and faster than the bow flex. Just pull the pin out and slap it in. Without getting too specific take my word the changing process More functional. I feel more tension in muscles during my workout. And the cage can assist so you don't have to grip so hard when using heavy weight on certain lifts. Such as rear and side delt raises. So the focus is more on the muscle you are working and not the forearm. I shop on amazon a lot. I never do reviews. I had to on this! Best purchase I have ever made. Power blocks are amazing. I get a weight room type workout at home. 90 pounds worth of dumbells! And no injuries. So if you are trying to decide between bowflex and Powerblock. I hope this helps.

This is 5 stars but I have to take half a stat away because one of mt weights was missing 3 of the color coded tabs where the pin goes. But I have contacted the seller and they are going to get that taken care of. Oh and I recommend getting the stand.
Perfect for someone needing dumbbells, while needing to save space

I needed dumbbells for a size-conscious space. These were the perfect ones. They've done exactly what I wanted.
I've used the Bowflex dumbbells and was turned off by having to adjust the dumbbells on each side every time you wanted to switch weights- with these you only have to adjust it one time. These seem like they are of higher quality as well (plus, I've read a few too many freak stories about the Bowflex dumbbells breaking mid-use).
