I was looking for an alternative to my traditional pancake mix and protein scoop way of life. I'm sorry to report that flap jack'd pancake powder did not deliver. It tastes bad, I was trying to think of a suitable adjective for the taste, but the bottom line is that it just tastes awful. I ordered the sample pack, just to see if this was going to be something that I would like. I'll start off by saying that by following the mixing recipe, it comes out clumpy. So far, all the mixes have an overbearing taste of salt, furthermore, once cooked they are so dry. I am disappointed overall, I'll stick to generic pancake mix, throwing in the scoop of protein powder to achieve what I am after. Gave it 2 stars because if the macros are correct, then by all means, good pancake mix. I suffer enough with bland food.
The BEST protein mix!

Love FlapJacked. I make waffles with all the mixed in a small waffle maker. Use a little less water for waffles. I make chocolate waffles using unsweetened cocoa powder added to the mix too. Never dry! They store well too. Just make up a batch and row in the fridge for a quick reheat in the microwave in the morning. There are also recipes on the FlapJacked website is pinterest.
I seriously love these so much

I seriously love these so much. You have to let them sit for the 5 minutes before you cook them and they turn out great (aka follow the directions). I didn't think I would like each flavor because I am not really a carrot spice person or banana but they are all really tasty and it is nice to change it up. And for the carbs and price, you can't really beat them!
I love this product!

I loved FlapJacked pancake mix! So far, I've tried the buttermilk and carrot spice flavors. They are quick and easy to prepare. I add 1 T chocolate chips to the buttermilk mix plus an extra tablespoon of water to make the batter easier to pour. For the carrot spice, I mix up a cream cheese frosting to use as topping. It's best to cook the pancakes low and slow; otherwise, they'll brown too quickly and be raw on the inside. If you're expecting light, fluffy IHOP pancakes, these aren't quite it, but I love the texture nonetheless. I look forward to trying the banana hazelnut and apple cinnamon varieties.
Pancakes with protein.

Great pancake mix, but I'm only a fan of the buttermilk, and to a lesser extent the apple. The banana and carrot cake flavors aren't sweet, so they taste.... odd to me. But the buttermilk is easily a 5 star protein pancake mix.
