I love Rice! and a big bulky Rice cooker took up to much space in my Kitchen....This is just the right size, and it's fast in the microwave!

I use this rice cooker all the time in the summer. I just have to remember that if I'm cooking brown short grain rice in a 700W microwave it takes about 40 minutes on full power and 10 minutes rest (1 1/2 cups rice to 7 cups of water). If I'm using my 1000W+ microwave the same ratio of rice to water takes 30 minutes at 70% power plus 10 minutes rest. The cooked rice generally is not too wet or too dry and freezes well.

Love this thing. It really works. I can cook small batches for a single meal. Saves space. You can vary the water to get he desired consistency. Super easy to use and the plastic seems very tough.
