Works flawlessly and connected to all my 3.5" & 2.5" Sata HDDs without any problems.

So far this Sata HDD dock has worked flawlessly for me.

I got it it to help me go through a bunch of older 3.5" HDDs I had laying around as well as a couple 2.5" laptop HDDs. They all smoothly slid into the docking bay and connected securely to the SATA connector. My computer was able to detect, read from, and write to every single one of them without any issues. The power button is easily accessible and clicks down firmly which is nice, and all three of the USB hub ports (2xUSB2.0 and 1xUSB3.0), have worked just fine. There are four small rubber pads on the buttom of the station that give it some traction so it doesn't slide around too easily, and I don't have a need to mount it to my desk or wall but it does have mounting holes built into the bed of the dock. The dock is lighter than I thought it'd be, but it doesn't feel overly cheap/fragile and it makes it easier to store away when I don't need to use it for an extended period of time. This docking station may not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive ones I see available, but I didn't get it for the bells and whistles; for what I did get it for, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Works perfectly.

However, there's a surprising fact that you might be interested to know: It spins the hard disk drive off when either not in use or disconnected.

This is an unusual behavior for me, as USB hard disk drive would usually not spin down and just always stay ON. But this one spins the hard disk drive down if it's not in use of if you disconnect it but do not power it off.

This is actually positive as this will likely decrease the heat, however it's going to add a little delay when you start using the disk again, as it has to spin in up again. The good thing though is that if you forget the power supply ON, it's not that important anymore.

Also, it has some grip underneath with really works well, making it very hard to move, but avoiding it from falling off the desk too easily, too!

Also, last detail: It allows to read the SMART data through it, while some hard disk drives do not.
