Still going strong after 1 1/2 years in place. Take care to follow instructions regarding adhesive so you don't have failures as others have had. Very easy to mess up adhesives and this is no different. Using in a 2013 Volvo XC60 in St Louis where temps vary from -xx to 100+ and holding the iPhone 6s Plus rigid and no problems. Again, if want success, follow instructions with the adhesive. Best car iPhone mount out there.

I saw a friend using one of these, and was impressed with the ease with which he was able to clip the phone in and out of the mount, so I bought two of them -- one for me and one for my wife.

They were very useful at first, but then the adhesive failed, and they fell off the dashboard. I replaced the original adhesive with 3m extreme mounting tape, which holds at least as good as the original.

After a year or so of use, my wife's USB charging cord failed, so she replaced hers because the phone no longer charged while in vehicle.
Recently, my mount broke physically, and the USB charging cord failed, so I ordered a new one.

The new one had the charging cord installed backwards, so that the phone faced the wrong way when in the mount (with the screen facing the back of the mount, making it impossible to see). With some difficulty, I pried the cord out and turned it around, so that it now faces the proper direction.

I'd give it 5 stars for ease of use while in vehicle, but took a couple back for fragility and for the charging cord being installed incorrectly when I received it.

It does appear that the newer charging cord may be better built than the originals (which both failed), but it does not have a coiled cord, which made the original more convenient to use.

I bought two of these mounts.

Despite following the instructions, and using a stronger 3M tape when I ran out of the supplied tapes both have fallen of my dash multiple times. It always happens when I leave a phone on the mount to charge while I am out of the car and the car gets hot while closed up.

I do not like that your are limited to the cables that come with the mount.

I also don't like that the phone is forced down onto the charging cable end and pressure is maintained there continuously. on one of my phones the charging port is noticeably looser since using these car mounts.

The provided Lightning cable is charging only and does not allow for audio.

My setup is that I have a PA15-HON3 attached to my Acura radio. This allows me to attach my iPhone to radio, charge it, play music through the radio and also control the iPhone through the radio and steering wheel controls. For this to work, I need a cable that does charging and audio. This only does charging.

Why not just replace the cable? Great question. I found that the Lightning cable for charging and audio is slightly thicker and doesn't fit into the clip. I would look at using a Dremel to widen the clip opening, but when apart from the holder, it is fairly flimsy. I understand it needs to be this way due to the design - there is simply one part that is thin - but it still doesn't help me.

Of course, I didn't know there was a difference in the cables until after I got this and had to figure out why the audio was no longer playing through the radio. I would prefer manufacturers actually note this in the description because leaving it out is misleading. When they wrote it charges and syncs, I didn't think that excluded audio.

Overall, it is a decent product. Probably great if you just want to charge your phone in the car. However, if you want to use audio, this is not for you.

This is a nice, slender mount that securely holds my iPhone 6s. Although it's designed for 1-handed operation, that's not quite the situation, but it's not really the fault of the dock. The Lightning connector mates so firmly with the phone, it takes a little extra effort to remove and install the phone in the dock. I'd call it 1.5-handed operation...

The cord is easily replaceable if you want to use a different one. All in all, I am very happy with this dock. It has a nice, slender appearance when empty, too.
