There is an incredibly bright and annoying LED on this caddy that is constantly blinking. I will just put some tape on it but not have bought it if I knew this (I didn't read any reviews beforehand, just bought it on price. Maybe someone else mentioned this.)
Fits perfectly in the E6440 CD/DVD drive slot.

I am using it with Dell Latitude E6440 and it fits perfectly in the CD/DVD drive slot. Installation is also easy and took around 10 minutes. Caddy comes with 3 screws to keep hard drive fixed in the slot, so you can be confident that hard drive will not come out if you try to take caddy out frequently. I am using it with SanDisc 500GB HDD, with Windows 7 OS and it has been working without any problem. Only annoyance can be its blue light which will never go away and even if Hard drive is not being used, it will consistently be lit. However using a Caddy is a great way to extended disk space on your laptop without messing with existing configuration. Therefore it is highly recommended if you want to safe way to increase storage of your laptop. Also it is very easy to take the caddy out and switch it to some other laptop (if it accepts the same size caddy). Let me know if you find this review useful.

Had I known this existed years ago, I would have purchased it years ago. Suddenly my optical drive bay has a purpose other than to sit and collect dust 99.99% of the time.
- works with both Legacy and UEFI booting
- supports physical (platter) disks and my 0.5TB SSD
- sits flush with the case, and the ejection mechanism works beautifully
- the drive awareness and activity LEDs are a feature I never knew I needed (but couldn't live without now!)
There are a few improvements they could make (that aren't enough to impact my 5-star rating):
- it requires a screwdriver (included) to physically mount and unmount the drive
- despite having ample room along the sides, there is no storage for said screwdriver
- the drive spacer, while nicely designed, could / should be tethered to the caddy

The drive fits great in my dell laptop, the ssd I mounted inside works well in combination with it. very very easy install and it looks and feels like a quality product. hell my old drive fits in the packaging so I keep it in there in case I need it. great deal for price compared to other similar items.
