Nice solar, hand crank radio flashlight combo.
Sandra✓ Verified Purchase•August 23, 2016
Very sturdy and solid item.
Love the solar and hand crank option on this am/fm radio, weather station and flashlight combo. The antennae is a nice addition to the item but seems a bit flimsy. Been working great so far but can see it getting a bit loose over time.
The cords for charging is nice accessories.
Hand strap is nice option to help hold so if you lose grip you know it won't fall on the ground.
Had other hand crank radio that's a square but their crank broke after a few uses. So far this item had been showing signs of good manufacturing.
If anything breaks as I continue to use it. I'll be updating.

Extremely happy with this product originally I was trying to buy ...

Extremely happy with this product originally I was trying to buy myself all solar charger for my cell phone and then I found this which is 10 times better not only kind of possibly charge your cell phone or another device through USB it's also a flashlight or radio and of course are charging device will work in all conditions night or day you can charge it by plugging and then solar charging it or if you don't have any power or some light it's got a crank on the side. Very very happy this product will recommend it to anybody looking for something similar like I said I was trying to buy a solar charger for a cell phone originally and this is much cheaper and does a lot more very good product and also very good price and got it very fast it's a must buy for anybody going camping or if you're out of power or unfortunately are homeless.
Read the Directions!

Came in after two days. Very excited and satisfied. The box looked open and beat up, but there was plastic wrap around the device.
READ THE DIRECTIONS LOL! Everything worked out in terms of the radio frequency and flashlight. However, I was more interested in the charger. For the IPhone 5s, at first it charged 2% then it said that this charge source doesn't support this device. I was about to return it when I read the directions.
I saw a red dot light as I cranked the device and I thought that it meant it was full charge. However it just means that the device is currently being charged. That being said if you plug the device in a power source if there is no more red light it means that it is fully charged. I was able to get 10% iPhone battery during the charge. Not the best but very critical in emergency to make a phone call.
This device is small, and it fits snugly in my First Aid Kit. Hopefully when the time comes it will do me good. We've been without power 2 times this year. Definitely recommend so far.

Over all, I also see the issue that could arise with the USB port being fragile - I am tempted to carefully glue around the case and USB ground to "beef it up". Light and radio work very good. It is very light weight, and hence the battery is small. The charging of other devices aspect is the minimum of minimum to get by - validate emergency functionality. You need to continually crank on a full battery to charge up for more than a 3 or so minute phone call, however that is beyond what it is intended to do anyway. So over all this is great except for the tinny little battery, but for light weight that's better ... ? It is an EMERGENCY charger. However the radio and flashlight could work normally / pure convenience.
Excellent Value for the Price

This little solar powered weather radio/AM-FM radio/flashlight/cell phone charger with hand crank backup power is a far better-quality item than what I expected for the price. I was primarily in the market for a solar weather radio, and if that was the only function featured on this item I still would be a satisfied customer. Having the flashlight, the USB charging capability (limited as it is), the AM-FM option, and the hand crank recharge option included at this price is all icing on the cake. I can't help but notice that many of the 'complaints' listed in other reviews pertained to information the buyers failed to read in the posted description. Be sure you take the time to read that information before you order, so as not to be surprised or disappointed, but for overall quality, at this price, the iRonsnow IS-088 cannot be beat.
