Great product for giving yourself more desk space
mesco•January 31, 2017
Great product for giving yourself more desk space, but there is a short-coming, it wiggles. With any movement on the desk it's connected to it wiggles. Heavy typer, it wiggles. Heavy person walking by, it wiggles. Etc. I think if it wasn't just a one post product, it would be great.

installation takes some time but just follow the directions - we needed to add a little piece of wood for stability.
Good value for the price.

Good with a Tilt
Tailchaser•February 29, 2016
This works great for the monitor, and I like the versatility of either clamping it to the desk or drilling a hole. Others mentioned the tilt of the lap top in their reviews. I didn't fully understand what that meant until it was set up. When the laptop tray is swiveled, the laptop will no-longer be parallel with the monitor. It takes some adjusting, can be brought back into parallel, but is not quick. Once it is in place and adjusted it works fine, and is really nice to have the extra desk space. A better design for the laptop tray could be found I think.
UPDATE (FIXED) Flawed laptop tray
E. Ortiz•December 12, 2015
UPDATE:
I was contacted by the seller soon after writer the initial review and she was very helpful. I am not sure who I was in contact with before but it was a complete different experience this time around.
The seller (quickly) shipped out a replacement and it works great.
I am very happy!
I am a teacher and work from my laptop during lectures, everyday. I usually place my laptop on top of a table with leg extenders.
I have cervical stenosis and I am in constant pain every day. Needless to say, looking down does not help my neck, which has recently gotten worse. I am at the point where I nothing else can help and require surgery, but I can't miss work so I have to wait for the summer. That's where this product comes in.
This holder is really nice. It's well-constructed and looks like a sturdy product. I was excited to get this setup, which is easy. I attached a secondary monitor which was also easy. I attached the tray for the lap, easy. I place my laptop and adjusted the height to a perfect level.
I notice my laptop was tilted to the outside. I messed around with the tray and the arm and nothing seemed to straighten it out. I used my phones level to check the level and it was off by -1 degree, which is not a lot, but enough for me notice and irritate me. I have ADHD, which also mean I obsess on small things and this is driving me crazy.
As I swung the arm around I noticed if the tray was facing west the tray was perfectly straight, but as soon as I swung around to face me (north) the tray tilted to the outside.
I contacted the seller and they told me that there is a way to adjust the tilt, which I looked all over and found nothing (plus the instructions are useless). I contacted them again and they gave me a different to call, which I called several times and got no answer. I contacted them again and explained that I could not get a hold of anyone at the phone number they gave me. When they finally replied they explained that it is normal for the stand to off by 1-degree and I should contact Amazon for an exchange.
I don't want an exchange. I want it fixed. I was able to level out the laptop by taping a small slab of wood on the right side of the tray.
I like this product and I opted for a pricier one thinking it would offer better quality. Unfortunately, I got a well-constructed product with a major flaw. If it's normal for it to be off by 1-degree why would I want to exchange it?
I could ask for a refund, but I do not want to pack it up and pay to ship it back (because I don't live 100 miles from an approved parcel carrier), wait for it to get to its destination, be processed, complete the refund and then look for a new one and wait for it to be ship. I rather keep it with my makeshift fix.
The 1-degree may seem meager to some, but for me it is enough to make me an unsatisfied costumer. The customer service is quick to reply, but the response I got was not what I wanted.
