Fantastic Light, Even for a Cylindrical Aquarium!
CoolGramma✓ Verified Purchase•February 20, 2017
I have a 6 gallon cylindrical aquarium, so most LEDs for plants are not for this tank because they're designed for "conventional" tanks, but this is exactly right for my aquarium. It came with its own LEDs (many different colors) but I planted live plants and didn't think that the LED that came with the aquarium provided enough light for some of the plants. I looked and looked for a good light that would fit my aquarium, and got one before this - it was a real piece of incredible junk. I consulted a site that said that this Mingdak light was one of the best lights on the market, so I went with it, and I'm very happy that I did. My plants are green as can be, and are doing very well, rooting quickly and waving in the currents created by the filter. I'm very happy with this light - no gimmicks, no extra color lights. It's got a great switch so that you don't have to unplug it, and the thin shape and suction cups are perfect for my aquarium. I'm still waiting for the aquarium to get settled and seasoned before I put my fish into it from their quarantine tank. They're going to think they've moved into a bright mansion. These lights are helping to create a wonderful aquascape for my little friends. The only thing I can say about this light is that the cord on it is a bit on the longish side, but that's not a problem for anyone whose outlets are far away. I have an iSelect outlet tower for all the peripherals for the aquarium that sits right under the Oriental stand on which my aquarium sits. The lights add to the ambience and I can't say enough about it. It is worth every penny and then some. You can't go wrong buying this aquarium light.
Refugium light

Perfect light for what I'm using it for. Refugium light on the back of aquarium (biocube). As long as surface is clean and you moisten the suction cups then they stay on pretty good. Also submersible so if needed I could just drop the light inside the tank too.
just what I needed

just received this and it looks wonderful in my 10 gallon live plant aquarium. It currently houses a betta and 4 cherry shrimp. It's not as blinding as I expected it to be, so I love it! I'm planning on getting an extra for the opposite side of the tank
Bright!

I needed some extra light in the back of my tank 55 gallon tank, because of the depth it's hard to light the bottom. This light works works wonderfully! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Bright, works under water.

Does exactly what I want it to do, it's bright enough for my tank of Opae Ula as seen in the picture. I submerge the light a little below surface and it has been working fine for couple weeks now.
