We use this rice cooker all the time. It's easy to set up, cooks the rice nicely, and holds the rice at temperature for a long time. It's nice appearance makes it ok to leave on the counter.

I would not have guessed that rice cookers could be so different. This cooks far better rice than my old one. It cleans up easily and is pretty user friendly (there are a lot of features I am not using, but it cooks rice without me having to read through the manual). It appears well built and the pot itself is heavy duty and has a good nonstick coating. An odd feature is that when in use, it speaks to you in very cheerful Korean (this may be a feature that can be changed, but I'm not an instruction book reader. Besides it's kinda fun). I would buy this again in a heartbeat, I love it.

As expensive as they are, cuckoo makes good tasting rice. For a family that eats rice at almost every meal, this is a must-have appliance in the kitchen. It doesn't seem to keep the rice as well as other models in the past however. I also don't like the coating inside and wish there was a non-toxic option such as ceramic or glass coated inside bowl, not Teflon. For how much it cost, I hope I can get more than 4 yrs use out of it unlike the last ones. The buttons and closing functions don't seem to last very long, rendering the pressure ability useless. Let's hope this one doesn't break like the others.

First, I have no idea why it would have cost me $50 more if I bought it in Black! Secondly, the instructions are meager at best! 3rd, I am not sure that this would actually hold 10 cups of rice uncooked then end up with 20. I used only 6 of the rice measurer while making some pilaf (the rice measurer is maybe 3/4 cup) and the uncooked product was at the top line. And there is no place that tells you how much water to use with the rice and it often is not on the rice package either so I simply go with 2 to one. And it took me forever to get it to stop speaking Korean and the English is not very clear. And does it say anywhere that the lights whirling around means it is actually cooking?? I was so glad to feel it was warm after 15 minutes and thrilled to see steam! The rice was perfectly done, which was great, but I feel I have quite a learning curve yet on this appliance.

The media could not be loaded. At first, i was frustrated because the unit is defective but the moment i complained and started replacement order. Amazon sent another new unit quickly. I received the 2nd unit without returning first the defective one. I really enjoy my talking cuckoo rice cooker and rice tastes very good. highly recommended. Thank you very much to customer service for very fast action.
