We love these lights although understand that the cable is very heavy duty so it does add some weight. The bulbs are a great shape and produce a very soft glow. We were looking for the right bulb for the ambiance but we didn't want to generate too much light. These have been out in rainstorms and heavy wind and barely move. We had one bulb blow out when first plugged in. The company shipped us a replacement for free within two days. We tried many different styles and cheaper versions from other big box stores. Save your time and go with these. They are worth the money.
Quality Product - Great Lighting Effect on Full Stage Design

Ordered several strings of these as part of a full-stage lighting and set design. They are robust quality, visually great even from a distance in a large venue (2500 seat auditorium with 70' wide stage), and were DMX controllable... we used them at about 70% most of the time and it gave a great effect.
I do recommend buying a box of replacement bulbs. Though the bulbs are not exceptionally fragile in general, they will shatter/explode if hit just right (which was inevitable for us while using a lift to hang on a 24' ceiling... we broke 1-2 per string while installing across our stage/trusses).
Also, save your original packaging for good, protected storage afterward.
Great product and would purchase again.

These are exactly what we were looking for. We wanted the old style looking Edison bulbs, not some odd looking knock off and these fit the bill. They aren't real cheap but I learned with outside lighting you get what you pay for. These lights are very well made. One tip in hanging them, due to the sturdy duty construction, they are heavy. I first ran a 3/16, plastic coated cable between my posts and then zip tied the lights to cable. I have them on a photocell timer that turns them on for an hour after sunset. I will be soon ordering another set of lights along with a case of spare bulbs just in case I break any.

You have likely seen these type of lights in outdoor setting restaurants, etc. If they have gone to the trouble of purchasing quality lights, these are what they have purchased. The construction is heavy duty, allowing them to be strung from a variety of hooks, cables, etc. The loops above every socket make the mounting of these lights even more flexible. The sockets are very weatherproof, relying on the seal between the bulb and the rubber collar to keep water out- very effective. The light itself is very warm (color-wise), and it creates an almost surreal atmosphere that is very conducive to parties, etc. Our first 2 sets were destroyed by our (100 year old) tree falling across our deck, and as soon as the insurance company reimbursed them, we purchased 2 new sets. Repurchase of an item is, to me, the ultimate test of whether it is a good product. Very nice.
