Good Gun, upgrade the kit mallet though
Oscar Duran•January 30, 2018
Good nailer. Had to tape plate so it wouldn't mare up prefinished floor, but that's pretty typical. Also the kit mallet is a nice weight but wooden handle didn't hold up after installing about 1800 sq ft. Highly recommend buying the Bostich flooring mallet, they are an awesome combo together.

... down 1000 sq ft of hardwood and this worked like a champ

Just put down 1000 sq ft of hardwood and this worked like a champ. Won't ever rent one of these again.
Watch out for the feed mechanism jumping the cleats and you're shooting blanks
Peter W•November 24, 2017
Honestly .. almost wish I had just bought a H.F. one (used one once, but was aiming at quality and lifespan / spare parts)
It works
it is amazingly sensitive relating nail driving force to mallet impact and pressure setting is super crucial (at least on bamboo it is easy to 'rip out'
.
BUT
I have had an issue with the cheazy nail retention system and feed mechanism ... on more than one occasion it slipped past the L-cleats thereby not feeding and punching empties - at times , due to no resistance, punching out the tongue .... I really expected better

I've done 1 floor. Last time I did a floor, there was no pneumatic assist. This was world's better. I found it easy to use and control.
