Great little sturdy study desk!

Great little homework desk! I'm a Montessori preschool/elementary art teacher. We have ten of these little desks in our lower elementary class & the kids love them. I found these same ones and purchased one for my 7 year old to use for homework. Jack pot! Sturdy construction folds away when not in use. Fits legs nicely underneath even for an adult and I like the adjustable edge work top. Just what I was looking for!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! no longer will I eat food in my bed and have all of the remnants fall onto my sheets (nasty, I know). This is also really good for doing homework or reading in bed. it's nice that it has a side that does not move, so that you can leave a drink and/or food on it, when you need it tilted for reading or a laptop/tablet
Inferior workmanship

The side of the tray that raises in order to be to prop up a book does not have a locking mechanism. All one would have to do is move and the tray would collapse downward. There are grooves to incline the tray forward so that reading in bed is possible. However there are not enough grooves to raise the tray high enough. The legs that hold up the desk collapse constantly. There is no locking system on them as well. The surface is grainy, not smooth making it harder to take notes. All in all this is an inferior work station. If someone were to use it to actually hold a plate of food I am certain one of the legs would fold inward and the poor patient would be wearing their dinner!

The faux wood is very VERY cheap and the screws were all falling out when it arrived. I tried to screw them back in and the fake wood disintegrated around the holes. POS - returned the day it arrived.
