Lens fell out

This was fine at first. I purchased this for my elderly parents that were reading the newspaper using an old severely scratched Bausch Lomb magnifying glass that was probably older than they are. However, with the MagniPros one, It didn't take long for lens to fall right out of the frame. My Dad did his best to repair it. They are still using it until this day, I guess you get what you pay for.

The view was distorted to a degree that was frequently distracting. I can see concentric rings where the lens shape is wavy. I agree with other reviewers that it was more like the a cheap kid's magnifier. I also agree that for reading, it's barely usable. Also, the magnification is very low. I bought it to view/enjoy a globe of the world. The low magnification and the distracting distortion really makes this unusable. My wife has been very kind to agree to return it (she's the pro, I'm the procrastinator).

I wish I bought it sooner. I was using tiny ones which I kept losing. This one is big enough that it is hard to misplace.

Wanted one that was not made of glass. My granddaughter and I use this. It works well and I like that it is shockproof/scratch resistant. It is made well.
It would be great for reading a book

Kind of large and lunky for my purpose. It's so large, it's awkward to handle. It would be great for reading a book, but it's not much help looking for spider mites on my cucumbers.
