This light can be perfect for some people who may not need really bright lighting. I bought it accidentally, I thought it was the same as the other four I have purchased recently. This one has about half as many LEDs. I'll still use it though....

For the money this is a pretty good light. The build is solid and it sits well on the tank. I liked my T5 light better but alas I was tired of replacing bulbs.I needed something that wouldn't break the bank. I've got this on a 90 gal non-planted tanks and the light is adequate. The daylight does show the colors of my fish quite nicely and the twilight is good.
Two concerns, the first is the AC adaptor cord is quite short. I remedied by soldering in an, extra 2 foot length. The 2nd, because I've got a HOB filter on one end of the tank, the water ripples the surface a bit and the LED light tends to ripple also at that end of the tank. It tends to bother me, but the fish don't seem to notice. I installed the timer for this unit and it's works well with no hassle. All in all a no frills basic light.

lovelove this light its nice and bright brings out the colors of everything in the tank awesome couldnt be happier with this light llove the two lighting modes of this light easy to set up shipped nicely packaged i will never go back to t5 bulbs again for my 220 gallon tank these are very well priced also the mounting bars are so easy to use extremly happy with this light highly recomend this to any body looking for affordable aqurium lighting that eveverybody knows can be costly especially when it comes to led lighting typically you have to buy 2 36 in for a 220 due to size of the tank one light one power cord so much easier to hide than two of everything like normal

The light is very bright, and the red and green leds (along with the white) really accentuate the colors in the aquarium. I have only been using it for two weeks, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of the light on my plants, but it certainly seems like plenty of light. I held back one star for the mounting brackets, they work well enough, but they could be a little more secure. Overall I am very happy with purchase, time will tell, but it's a good start.
