Was on the fence about buying this but saw all the great reviews. It is a nice case, just not sure the upgrades are commensurate with the additional cost. I'd imagine you could run over it with a car and not damage the contents. The middle latch/handle is an annoyance, but how often are you really going to be opening the case. The 90 degree lid is a plus rather than a negative. What if the lid hangs over an edge, then you end up with contents all over the ground which has more potential to infuriate than the odds of an unlevel surface closing the lid on you. People handling guns shouldn't be subjected to unnecessary stress such as your expensive equipment hitting the ground which would trigger numerous safety issues. I give it a 4.5, but since I'm "cheap", I'll round down to a 4, nothing personal case club.

Exceeds expectations. Since I live in NJ and have the Magpul fixed carbine stock, I first ordered the AR-10 case but it did not fit well. I returned it easily and ordered this one and with a few minor alterations, it fit like a glove. If you take your time with the included blade, you can make it look like a professional job. 5 stars. Could not be happier. For your reference, that is a 14.5" barrel with a pinned 1.5 inch break, and a 13" handrail.

I bought this for my fella and he loves it. He bought some sad case from WalMart just so we could get it to the range. It holds everything tight and the little extras are a nice touch. I can't go on about the specifics because it is not my field of expertise.He loves the lock, the lighter weight, and the inserts. The construction is outstanding. My fella is a retired Marine and current law enforcement and loves the case. He says it is just as great if not greater than the Pelican line of cases. Hope this helps.

I only have one AR15 rifle right now, but you can bet that I will be buying one of these cases for each one that I own. There isn't too much to be said that previous reviews haven't already, so I'll leave it at that.

Great Case, Good room for all things. The 'waterproof box' is a bit cheesy, but works to hold small things like my reddot allen wrenches. My only regret is I made some extra cut holes for mags/pistol mags, but then changed my mind about the setup i was going to keep in here. I may have to try to buy new foam: learn from me and be absoluetely sure of your ar setup (scope/red dot/ foregrip) before you slice it.
