Great battery picture light, even with cheesy finish

Does a good job lighting a largish oil painting in an entryway without access to power. I find the switch on the light convenient, and haven't used the remote. I only use the brightest setting, others are too dim. I'm using rechargeable Eneloop batteries and get about four or five hours a charge. I don't love the antique finish on the Concept lights (looks like black varnish streaked over plated metal), but nobody really looks at the fixture itself. Overall, a better solution that the old cordless LED light I had which was solid brass, but cost the times as much and didn't light as well.

I wrote this review months ago but never submitted it: Perfect to illuminate a special photo on aluminum that we purchased. Love the remote. Very necessary as the light is wireless and quite high on the wall.
Unfortunately, the remote broke. When I contacted Concept Lighting, and they heard that I purchased this through Amazon, they didn't give me the time of day. Their disinterest was REALLY alienating. I offered to purchase a new remote or could they repair it, but they couldn't get off the phone fast enough. Sooooo I called Amazon and after getting a supervisor to OK it, they are sending me a new lamp! I'm thrilled with Amazon but very disappointed with Concept Lighting.

originally bought their smaller 11.5" light, but found it did not adequately light the artwork (which measured 24" x 36")...so bought this one. the light works fine, though to my tastes it could be a little brighter and cover more of the picture (hence the 4 stars and not 5). but overall happy with it. very easy to set up...this larger one we installed on the wall..the smaller 11.5" one we installed directly onto the picture frame. both set ups very easy. from another reviewer (thank you very much) learned we could use miraclekoo spacers that enable you to use regular or rechargeable 'aa' batteries when 'c' or 'd' batteries are called for. very easy to change the batteries (you remove a screw that allows you to remove the light from the base). overall a nice product that saves you big $$ vs getting an electrician to install some spots in the ceiling, but again doesn't light up the art like hard wired lights would.

Bought this after reading other reviews of the product, and the reviewers were absolutely accurate. I decided to use AA Eneloop batteries to lighten the weight of the light, as suggested, and bought the "Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger (with 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries plus 2 C and 2 D spacers)." That gave me all the batteries needed for the light and the remote. Then I bought the "Miraclekoo C Size Battery Spacer for Sanyo Eneloop or Other AA Batteries" in a pack of six, and had all the spacers necessary for the light. This works very well and I am delighted with the performance of the light. While the info on the light says it can be attached to the picture or the wall, the picture frame would have to pretty substantial to accommodate the weight of the light even with the Eneloops, but everything about the product is as it says it is.
