I got two of these lights to replace two 3-bulb incandescent light stands that I use for painting. I'm so glad I did! These lights clip great to my easel.. one is directed at my canvas and the other is directed to my palette. They are nice and bright, but not harsh like the incandescent were, plus they take up a lot less space. I found the clip part to be fairly strong, but I can see if you were constantly moving them around, the clip part might get worn-- however this is probably the case with many clip on lights. The lights are super adjustable-- I bent them into position before I clamped them into place. Very pleased!!! These lights are a game changer for me and have increased the time I can paint to well into the evening.

I've been using it for several months for a few hours several nights a week for when I'm crafting. It gets warm but not hot, it clamps tightly (i use a music stand as where i like to work, the lip of the table is too narrow for the clamp to be secure, which i knew going in when purchasing this). The strong flexible neck holds any shape and doesn't drop. The cord is long enough and not stupidly skinny and flimsy. I'll purchase again when needed. I did a lot of homework on what i wanted and what was out there and am very happy with my purchase!!
Ps. When positioned properly, the light gives no sideways glare so others watching tv will not be annoyed while I'm enjoying being in the same room with them.
