Easy to use and convenient

After hurricane maria left puerto rico destroyed i was left with a need for a quick and easy way to power some stuf ok the house and this worked perfectly, why was this my choise amongst so much others.
Well for starter after a massive power out no one has power obviously so buying a generator was not the best idea because those who could not afford one stole from others plus the gas and maintanance is not ideal.
So that is why a inverter is much more convinient than a generator for me it was easy to use i can use it inside the car or on the battery it monitors the watts on the lcd it has and best of all it has usb ports, but the best option for me and what made me buy it was that i could change from the battery power to the car lighter power that to me was genius.
So would i recomend buying it well yes i do think its worth the money and very practical and easy to use.

Item arrived on time as works perfectly. The fact that it has a digital display of the output wattage is a big plus! Suggestion: Install an in-line fuse holder in the red wire with the battery clip for an extra measure of safety. The cigarette lighter adapter has a fuse built in but the red battery clip wire does not. I added one myself for peace of mind for $5. Note: If you'll need more than 200 Watts of supplied output you MUST use the battery clips.

Upon unscrewing the battery connection terminals to use the provided alligator clips, the positive post unscrewed in its entirety from the unit. There are now pieces rattling around inside I can only assume were used to secure the terminal post from the inside. Energizing the device at this point is unwise.
EDIT: After contacting Potek I was informed that opening the unit only required removing the 4 visible screws. I'm used to devices hiding screws under stickers, rubber feet, and even sonic welds. I reattched the lock-washer and nut firmly and resealed the unit. Unsure if doing this voided any warranty, but apart from this mechanical failure I feel this unit will live a good long life.

Great back up for my 3/4 Hp garage door opener. A little noisy during operation due to the non-pure sine wave signal but since I will only need it for temporary power outages, this should be enough to get our vehicles in and out of the garage safely riding on a 12 volt 35 Ah AGM battery. One thing I like is the digital readout where I set it to monitor my incoming 12 volt power.
Good implementation but has all the limitations and risks associated with a modified sine wave inverter.

Good design and features for a modified sine wave converter. Connected it to a small AC fan and it hums and doesn't run efficiently because it is not pure sine wave. I found some light bulbs don't work with it too. If you are not sure if your devices will work with modified sine wave you will have more peace of mind getting a pure sine wave inverter.
