Mostly got this so I could do some soldering repairs on site. Seems to have no issue powering both a 60W iron and 300W heat gun with intermittent use. There's no fuses or manual reset on the inverter or the power leads. I can only assume the internal circuit protection will do it's job. Leads are very short, maybe 18". Will get you buy in a pinch but I'll have to fabricate my own. For what I've been using it for it doesn't get particularly warm and fan has remained nearly inaudible. As I only need it for occasional use I don't have any significant qualms.

I'm super happy with my purchase of this adaptor. It's really helpful to use for lamps, vacuums and other electronic items, they can be plugged in and used so easily. It's small enough to keep in the little storage area between the seats. I've used it frequently at least 20 times since purchase. It does get warm like most electronics and it looks like it has a fan for cool down. I've had no negative issues at all. I'm totally happy and can enjoy my time in my car so much more.

Good for the money. I use it on a car battery when the power goes out during a hurricane. It powers a 60" led TV and a led torche lamp until the thing blows over and it's safe to fire up the generator. It last about 10 hours before the low battery alarm goes off. Cheap emergency power!
