Bought this product so I could use an electric heating pad on a long road trip while driving. My leg has poor circulation and heat helps. I was worried the unit might either overheat or get too hot, but neither happened. Instead, it worked like a charm for my 10 hour trip. Only complaint is the same thing others have mentioned: The power cord is too short. My cigarette lighter is in my middle console of my Honda CRV and I had to leave it in there. I had hoped to run it to my back seat area, but it was wayyyy too short. Some of the reviews I've read said that the unit heats up significantly, but I didn't experience that. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Better than a dual plug because a lot of times you can't plug in two things at once. It's a side by side issue with those. Didn't need a dual anyway. It's all I needed. No heating problems or anything. Tiny. I'm happy.
