For the money, this is a great fountain with really neat colored lights. I have two of them. They ran 24/7 since April. I unplugged them and cleaned them and put them away for the season. I have paid significantly more for fountains with no lights, that broke way too soon.

Powerful but regulator is worthless

If you are buying this with the intention of using the flow regulator to reduce the water flow don't bother. It barely makes a difference between high and low. On the plus side the pump is strong and probably more suited for a pond or larger water feature. If you want to use the blossom sprayer in a pot 24" or smaller it's just too big of a spray to keep it in the pot. I ended up using the mushroom spray out of necessity rather than choice. I guess I should have purchased a lesser gallon per minute pump for my situation but I thought the regulator would give me more range. Not! Next time. I'm tired of screwing with it.

Second review: I can't say why but after I wrote the first review below my pump stared flowing more lik expected. The sliding inlet valve was always wide open. The only improvement I would like is more grip groves and a tighter fit on the smalles basic hose adapter. I added 3 more stars.
First review: If this is a 200gph pump I need a 2000!. It is rated at twice the output of my old pump but puts out less volume (in my 3 Tier fountain). Disappointed.

very nice, works well, but the pump must be cleaned out often or it will jam, so not for the middle of a pond, unless you care to be in the water for cleanings.
