It feels great in your right or left hand
JOE DIAZ✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 3, 2018
This knife has got to be the smoothest knife I have ever bought! It feels great in your right or left hand.
Very sturdy and strong made. I use this knife when I dress up. The best way I can describe it as a sexy feel and look to it.
Most important its sharp and well made. Very quick to open at a flick of a finger, not like other knife that hang up. You will not go wrong buying this CRKT. Great company!
EDC and Concealed Carry worthy?

This knife is a switch assist (not spring assist) knife. The whole knife is smooth, which looks nice. they have a stopper near the blade to help compensate for the smooth feel and look to stop your hand from getting onto the blade. However when i tried to see how sharp is came, i had to force the blade down to cut, even then, its not sharp as i wish so at some point, sharpen it to how you like it. It does cut skin though, tried to close it and somehow nicked myself so beware, it is a knife. the clip is tough and it doesn't hook with your pants with ease. But try to move it around left and right to find the right fit. I believe it is tip up, or the term used, and has an ease when you do pull it from your pocket, there is a simple ease to open with the switch and flip it and use it.

if you want a knife for EDC and for some protection, this is not bad but look for something else if you want a EDC knife in place for a gun, or another option. It's smaller than most and in Florida, you can carry a knife under 4 inches. This is about 3 inch, maybe a tad bit but not 3 and a half inches. This isn't perfect so find better, but if you are looking for a cheaper option for the RIGHT NOW, this is pretty good. But there IS better for a few dollars more.
Good knives with a tough lock

I was exceptionally sleepy one night and accidentally hit the "buy now" button on this knife....twice. My dignity remains intact, however.

When they both came in, they were in the standard CRKT packaging. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Both were the large version.

The knife is pretty stout in construction! The blade is neat looking and of average size. For what it is, it's actually a practical and useable design. The steel is adequate for pretty much all tasks, and easy to sharpen when it gets to that point.

The handle is smooth, actually almost too smooth. It is well proportion however. The stainless construction gives the knife a slightly hefty feel. Not ungainly, but kind of weighty.

As for the action, the blade flips open smoothly, no snags or unusual noises noticed. What I did notice is that it can be difficult to unlock. The lock up is early, around 15-20%, but the recess is rather small to get a good purchase on the lock, and it felt as if there was some binding. I tried the old pencil on the face trick (on the lock face, not mine - that wouldn't make any sense) and while it didn't stick as hard, getting your thumb into the recess still proved difficult.

Truth be told, I gifted both of these knives away. They're not bad, but the whole unlocking thing didn't quite suit me. My star deduction is for that plus the slippery handle. They're good knives, but not for me.
Nicely designed knife for the price.

This was my first CRKT knife and the price was low so I took a chance. I was impressed with the quality of the blade and handle, especially given the price point. It holds a good edge and the blade locks solidly when open; no movement or play.
While I like the overall look and shape of the handle, it is a bit narrow and smooth. Hold on tight if using the flipper to open the blade. The weight of this knife is mostly in the blade.
That said, it works well and is a nice backup to my Benchmade EDC. The sheepsfoot is a nice shape for cutting on a cutting board.
I have purchased other CRKT knives based on my experiences with this one.
Nice blade, the rest is garbage.

Cool little knife for a good price.

-Nice wharncliffe style blade, and thick stock.
-Takes a extremely sharp edge (though I doubt it would hold it long with such soft steel.)
-Smooth flipper, easily deploys.

The rest of the knife I would replace if I could...
The handle has ZERO grip...its dangerous how slippery this knife is under the best conditions.
Its too skinny with zero jimping or texture to it anywhere.
