Bigger than expected

Nice little radio, it has tactile buttons, a manual volume knob, a classic antenna that's about 3x longer than the radio, and all around has good sound.
Why I can't give it a 5 is;
USB B, no one uses USB B. And the weird cable that came with it is almost as worthless.
Second reason, the old cellphone battery

Just received and it works quite well.

Battery life is about 5 hours on half volume, FM tuner is just ok, AM non existent in my environment/work. I pop a small profile USB drive in and do it moving. Make sure to format the drive "fat".ðŸ‘ðŸ¾ðŸ‘ŒðŸ¾ðŸ˜‰
Impressive multi purpose micro stereo!

This stereo immediately impressed me when I turned it on. The sound quality is fantastic for such a small package. It has more bass than I imagined! This little guy sounds really good.. I found that the sweet spot for me when using Bluetooth, was turning the volume all the way up on the speaker and 1-3 presses (depending on type of music) down from max volume on my phone. At this threshold I got loud volume with no distortion. I was pleased with the build quality and style. It's a little larger than a bigger smart phone. You can easily slip it in and out of your pocket or as needed. This unit is perfect for work, outdoors, and traveling. The best $20 I've spent in a while. I plan on buying a couple more for my family and I. If you're on the fence..... Buy it! Once you get it in hand and play around with it, you'll be glad you did.
Some Functions Are Perfect, And Some Need Help

I think it has great sound...the blue tooth function works just fine. Putting mp3s on a USB or a micro card is equally good. You can punch in the number of the song on the memory stick/card and it will go to that sound file (so I created a directory listing and numbered the songs so I can punch them up as I wish.) It also picked up right in the middle of the audio file where I had stopped it. If that is always the case, you may be able to do that with long-form audio files...unless the unit has a limit on file size.
It comes with a hybrid cable that I have never seen before. One end is the standard male USB Mini B connector, and the other end has a male USB Type A connector, and a male 3.5mm audio jack (three prong.) You plug the audio jack into the output of some other device, plug the mini into the Retekess unit, and play the audio though the AUX setting.
I took a star off because the radio reception is not very good. On AM it sounds like the unit is jamming itself (I live in NYC and I am less than 10 miles from two 50,000 watt AM clear channels and the unit can barely pick them up.) The FM is a bit better, but it failed the digital test. 93.5 FM is across the park from me, and 93.9 FM is over ten miles from me. A really good analog FM tuner can find 93.9. ANY digital tuner should be able to find it (and I have some really cheap digital tuners that can). But this radio cannot.
But...I found that by hooking up this booster
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000023VW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
to the radio's rod antenna, 93.9 comes in loud and clear, as does everything on AM (it looks like the AM uses the rod antenna, rather than the standard interior coiled loop.)
No idea if all of them have this reception problem, or I hit the negative lottery with this particular one, but that is my experience.

Excellent value for the money! Support local business by listening to local ADs in FM radio!

I brought the unit so that I can listen to radio at work without any bandwidth taken from the company network. It's amazing how much we have lost touch with local radio due to the internet. I now get to hear local news and ads only. And the music is not in my control so I get to hear songs I have long forgotten.
Hail to the return of AM/FM radio.
This unit sounds great! Seriously...for such a little tinker box, it fills the room with just the right volume not to interfere. Don't expect it to punch some serious base. Be fair and realistic and you will not be dissapointed.
I've brought two so far. One for the office and once for my home workshop. If we lose power or internet, I still have this little guy.
