It was fine. Looks nice. Its a bit harder to get the bottom insert out than I though itd be. Main issue is the hamster loves chewing on the wood... no amount of toys with deter him...

so beautiful compared to the plastic cages you see in the stores easy to put together and easy to change bedding with the plastic bin that slides out. I recommend.
Some Flaws; But Great Overall

The Ferplast Habitat is a great cage for mice!
It is very sturdy and has more than enough room for my two girls. The pan at the bottom is very deep and allows for ample bedding for them to dig and burrow in. The platforms are waterproof; however they have a rough texture which can make them a little bit tricky to clean. Applying a layer of clear, (or coloured,) contact film was my solution to this issue.
The cage was easy enough to assemble, but I find sliding the tray into the cage to be quite difficult. It seems to catch/get caught on the sides of the cage. The accessories you get with the cage, (wheel, bowl, wooden house and bottle,) are lacklustre and you are far better off buying alternatives. The wheel was especially rubbish and did not even turn.
The platforms are a little bit fiddly to get inside, but are very stable once secured.
The spacing of the bars is great!
My mice did chew on the cage; as was expected. The damage was minor and does not effect the structural integrity of the cage. The mice soon switched back to the wooden chews provided. They will still occasionally chew on the corners of the cage and so I use a hide, chew or toy to block access if I feel they are getting overzealous.
The most disappointing thing about the cage are the doors. They are tiny! It makes putting things inside the cage difficult and limits accesses to the interior, unfortunately making it a bit of a hassle to clean.
All in all, the Ferplast HAMSTERVILLE Hamster Habitat Cage is a solid choice for a rodent enclosure. I live in a country that does not have hamsters and so I cannot say if it would be suitable for them. It is just about perfect for mice, however!! I am very happy with the cage thus far, despite its flaws. Well worth the price.

Quality and what you pay for should match in the product. I figured $90 for a hamster cage would be in better conditions

The picture you display is beautiful, however I'm very disappointed in the quality of the product. Once I received the item I opened it to build and notice that the wood was all cracked as if it was dropped a couple of times before arriving. Sad to say I wasn't able to build it for my daughter. We were so excited about this, guess we will be looking for a different one.
Pleased overall.

Nice solid cage that was easy to assemble. Minimal assembly at that. The only issue was a little plastic "flash" on the wheel that needed to be trimmed, but no big deal. Top of cage could be designed to be flipped up to open, but a small door is there. I will modify in the future. I only wish there was an even larger cage than this. This one is the largest on the market.
