Seems to have worked. Had a check engine light on due to small emissions leak but the store that checked the code would not clear the light/code so I ordered this. Hooked it up, scanned the code and told it to erase. It said "erase failed" every time I tried it but it still cleared the light/code. Maybe mine is defective?

I bought it through slickdeals sale for $12 & some change and i got it in 2 days. Now i know this one is not the fancy model, or blue tooth connectivity, but hey this thing works for my need. It erase the code as well. Definitely recommended for the people that own an older car. It will saves you time and money going down to autozone or dealership just to scan the code.

Couldn't be easier. Used it a bunch of times to reset codes on my m45 until I resolved the problem. Car ran bad when check engine light came on. Clearing codes with this kept it running well (and that of course depends on what the code is and your car).

Just used the scanner for the first time this week, when I had an engine light come on. It was quick and easy to use, and gave me the numerical error code. This particular code was NOT in the list of codes that comes with the scanner, but I Googled the code it gave me and found that it was an oil code of some sort.

When I first put this in my 2007 Toyota Tundra, it scanned over and over. So I removed it, waited ten seconds plugged it in, and got to CAN and turned ignition to on and bingo, everything appeared as it should. So redoing it can help!
