Good choice (vs. Vintage); can be strung unsupported; best on a dimmer!

Great Lights! We debated between these and the Vintage version with the larger bulbs. I'm sure the Vintage look really cool, but I think we made the right choice. These are considerably less expensive, the bulbs are still good size and look nice lit up, and they use significantly less energy (165 vs. 600 watts for the Vintage strand). And because of the lower wattage, dimmer options are much less expensive too; there seems to be a real price jump once you need to get over a 500 watt capacity on your dimmer. I would definitely recommend putting them on a dimmer too. They are nice and bright on full power, but it's great to be able to draw them down to even just a firefly glowing filament.
Also of note, I contacted the company to ask about stringing them, and whether they could be damaged by being strung without a support wire. They said "The strand can be installed without support but we just recommend using support to avoid hang." We hung ours, unsupported, with one attachment point mid-way between the ends of the cord. They run from an attachment on our porch to a tree mid-way, then make a turn and head to the peak of an outbuilding. Lights up the yard wonderfully.
Also of note, I contacted the company to ask about stringing them, and whether they could be damaged by being strung without a support wire. I was nervous buying cafe lights for outside without seeing them in person. The reviews gave me enough confidence to pull the trigger.
I bought 3 48ft strands and installed them yesterday. I attached them to 3 eye screws on the back of my house and ran them to 3 metal poles I sunk into the ground. 1 goes directly over my pool (secured this one very well on both ends) and the other 2go to the left and right of the pool.
We tried them out last night and WOW they look amazing. Our friends and neighbors came by for dinner by the pool and they were blown away as well.

I absolutely love your Brightech WP Outdoor Lights. I needed a way to bring the outside deck into my inside living space. My deck is very large with a lot of mature trees around it.
It's a great space to hang out in Alaska winter or summer. Now with my new Brightech lights the whole area has this brilliant ambient light.
I wanted to get the most durable ones I could find. The lights are strong but elegant and I love the bulbs. I have them on right now sitting out on the deck. It's raining and some of the lights are hanging on a tree.(waterproof)
The lights were easy to hang. I installed two sets of 48ft lights in about a hour. Remember not to step on the sockets they do bend but it was easy to reshape.
I'm curious if the extreme cold is going to affect the lights in any way...? I see neighbors with Christmas lights up during the winter months. No problem.

Very pleased with this product. Heavy cable, drops are double jacketed. I have them spanning 25' using a 14 gauge wire. They were easy to install using the built in loops and then zip tying them to the wire. The light is soft and very appropriate for our patio set up. I hooked them up to a remote controlled outdoor outlet. Push the button, voila, instant relaxation. The female end of the cable is a non grounded receptacle.

These are the nicest outdoor bulbs I've ever seen. My cousin is a facilities manager for a large company and he was super impressed with the quality, too. We have them strung across our backyard patio and they look amazing. I recommend stringing wire first and then attaching the lights using small zip ties threaded through the little loops and around the wire (that way you can take down the lights but keep the infrastructure in place). These lights are pricier than other options but definitely worth the extra money because they'll outlast cheaper lights and they look much nicer than cheaper lights.
