Light Shines in your eyes when using

Well, it magnifies and has lighting, which is useful. The "glaring" issue is that the light shines right in my eyes. I have to cover the light with my forefinger while using. I'm going to get some black electrical tape to cover the light source. Other than that design flaw, I like reading a whole section with the wide lens.

This is a really clear and lightweight magnifier. It has a wide range of focal length -- hold it closer and you get 2x magnification; hold it farther from the page and you get up to 6x magnification. The rectangular shape allows you to see more of a page without distortion. The light is even and bright. Unfortunately, the handle is rounded only on the top so it's not as comfortable to hold as it looks. Worse, the LEDs are placed so that they shine up into your eyes. I put a strip of electrical tape over the top and sides so the light only shines down and across. It's a good fix, and I'm using it until I find another magnifier that meets my needs.

I've reviewed this before; one more time.upon receipt it's use was uncomfortable due to light leak upward toward the eyes; (notice the 3 bright glare spots in the picture. I placed a narrow strip of Gaffer Tape across the device at the juncture of the black plastic and the lens. That solved the problem for me. I advised the manufacture/provider directly, but no response...

Not impressed. The lens has a large misshapen area where a blob of the material sticks up. The lights are in the lens in such a way that they shine both ways, so you are blinded by as much light directly in your eyes as goes on whatever you're looking at. Not helpful.

This is a fantastic magnifying glass. My 91 year old mother can now read a bit on her own and she loves to read. It does not distort no matter at what distance it is held from the reading material. She has a little trouble manipulating the switch but it is a simple fix for me to switch it on and off for her. I love it.
