Those who note how compressible it is are correct, particularly the narrow part after the cut out. It would be better if it were firmer but the upper part is fine and it is more critical.

I've been eyeing a very expensive pillow with a similar shape and decided to take a chance on this. It's basically a cheap knockoff. The quality of the foam is poor and it's starting to show wear after only having it for a short time. However, I still rate this four stars because I think it's perfectly fair for the price. It's been a big relief on my messed up shoulder. It allows me to test whether the shape works for me before I spend a lot of money on the brand name pillow. It's well worth buying if you understand you get what you pay for. It's great for a test case or for recovering from a short term injury.
Half roll pillow insert loses shape

The wedge works beautifully! However, the half-roll seems to be made of a more flimsy material that flattens out and does not stretch back to the original shape. Also, half-roll outer case is made of a material that pills and sticks to the foam and prevents it from going back to its original shape. Would be so much better if half-roll was from the same material as the wedge. Then this accessory would be just perfect!

Got this for my mom while we wait for her prescribed CPAP to be calibrated. Her sleep apnea has been very bad and we have been worried. This pillow has made a big difference on its own. Much less snoring and fewer long pauses when she sleeps. She is a dedicated side-sleeper, and while she hasn't worked out the best system yet, she says the incline works without putting strain on her neck. Really glad to have found it.
