I originally purchased this tool for a NISSAN 2015 ALTIMA to clear a SRS light. I had accidentally left the airbag passenger light disconnected when I was doing some work on an aftermarket stereo, which caused the DTC flag to leave the airbag light on (I verified this was the cause by reading the time between the flashing of the airbag light and looked up the meaning in the factory service manual). After purchasing this tool originally, It could not find the SRS system. I assumed it was probably not updated, so then I went to the TOPDON website and it was unavailable. I checked back the next few days and it continued to be offline. I then contacted TOPDON via facebook and told them my problem and also told them I couldn't update the device because the website was down. I didn't get a response till a few days later, saying the website was up. I say great, thank you and go to the domain where it was indeed working. Although when I go to look for the download links, the actual file links were not there. I sent them another message about the link problem, didn't receive a reply. Today I went to check on the site, and the links to update the device appeared! Still no message from TOPDON of facebook though.

I went ahead and updated the device (which is a bit tedious, make sure you connect the usb cable to the device after the computer install so you can see the serial number and a registrar code as the update tool will ask you for it), to which THEN the device was able to interface with the SRS system and know when it was connected. UNFORTUNATELY when I hit erase DTC in the SRS module, the light did not go away. It was also unable to tell me what code was causing the light. At this point I gave up and decided to return the product as I do not have time to be diagnosing what was wrong with the tool.

In regards to the other OBDII data stuff, it looks like it is working as stated. It displays incoming data, and looks like it works. I did not experiment with this too much as I was trying to get the SRS system working.

Scanner worked perfect and was very easy to use. There are a ton of cool features and I played around with them a little. This is a great tool to have and will save me money from having a dealership run a diagnostic and charge $100 bucks a pop to do it.

My car threw an immediate code, and when I brought it in, the same problem was identified by a repair shop. It is comforting that I can use this to eliminate misguided or bogus recommendations from service places who see a female customer standing in front of them. Yes, that does happen!
