worthless junk cant even get a accurate read

Unfortunately I received a defective multi-meter and therefore must give my review 2 stars. Many times you only get one chance to impress a customer when they tear the tape off that box in anticipation, only to be let down like kids being told that Santa isn't coming this year because daddy lost his job.
The reason I did not give one star is because the product felt like a quality piece of equipment. Very solid and well built. If it actually worked I would have written a glowing review, but instead I told the truth and customers deserve nothing less.

Exactly what I was looking for! I needed a reliable, accurate, battery tester that could do consumer batteries (which I use a lot of) and also one that could test a car battery, if needed. This unit is easy to read, fits my hand well, and, although it's not as small as others that I've had, it is capable of doing more than those others. The price was right and I am very happy with the tester! I am going to find a small clamping stand that will hold the domestic batteries (AA, C, D, 9 volt, watch batteries, etc.) in place while I use/need two hands to attach the probes. The manual that comes with it has the specs and information that someone who is knowledgeable about using these meters would benefit by but for someone (like me) who only has a rudimentary understanding of how these testers really work, I wish that the manufacturer has included a basic 'how to use this tester to measure...' explaining all of the different uses of the tester. I had to go online to find most of that info but I would have found it much more convenient to have had those instructions packed with the unit. That being said, I am very pleased with this multimeter and would definitely purchase another one if needed.

Pretty low grade plastic construction. Battery is in a cage in back and takes two AAA cells. No instructions provided on battery access but it was not hard to get the old ones out. Overall feeling is that this is a little too low grade in overall quality to be a useful shop tool. I plan to look for something twice as costly but a little easier for my fingers to handle and not so sticky a knob. Lots of little plastic covers to get lost. Tiny screw in back with no stop. Manual is in minute print. I presume the item works but I am used to a little sturdier construction and keep instruments for a long time. This is not one for the long haul, sorry to report. I wish the old Radio Shack pocket meter did not quit on me.

Works great but take a good look at the photo...it's sorta pink. My wife really likes the color :) .
