I bought this OBD II diagnostic scan tool because we have 3 cars and I am interested to know if I will encounter issues when its time to renew our annual car registration and inspection. Also my coworker recommended this to me. I am new to this scan tool but by reading the owners manual it gave me lots of information on how to use it and interpret the code from the scan tool display. I just plug the OBD II cable that came with the unit into my car's DLC and it easily reads and diagnose my car. It gives you an option to clear and reset the check engine light. Highly recommended. Very easy to use and very useful too.

We've been having a problem with our car's check engine light. My husband bought this because he was tired of taking it into the machanic to get it checked and fixed. Usually it would cost us out of pocket, several hundreds of dollars to figure out the issue and get it fixed. It seems to be a different issue every time. This digital engine checker is such a great tool to have for any car owner. It's easy to use and easy to read. The plug in port was easy to find underneath our steering wheel. It read several codes to be able to figure out the car issue, which was just cleaning of the master air flow sensor. It was a quick under $10 fix and we would have been charged more if it was taken into the mechanic. I highly recommend this device.

This is a great product. It has mode 6. I was amazed to find out that it gets all the info from any automobile, even the ones not supported or listed in the scanner. The included cable is perfect, and I love that you don't need batteries in it. The software works fine. The manual has everything you need to know. It's a perfect gift for your Father.

This is a very simple to use, a lot easier than my last OBD2 sensor. Fist of all these has a bigger screen and the traditional ones that I normally use so it is a lot easier to see. The one screen layout is easy to operate, you have options like all the other obd2 checker to see if there is anything wrong with you car. Then you have the ready test to see if you can pass smog tests. The DTC is to look up codes. the data review to see record passed codes and info. Print data is exactly what it says. Set up is any changes like the units of merusement. "about" is the info like the serial number or firmware it has installed. The cool thing about this scanner it that I comes with a case and there is also an installation cd that can be used to look up codes, update the firmware, and even a user's maunal. Overall this is a great reader.
