This is a very good portable radio with a lot of features. It uses D cells so it lasts a long time, the tuner has great sensitivity to low powered signals but (as one reviewer noted) it is very selective, you have to focus the tuner carefully on weak stations that are surrounded by powerful stations. Anyone that criticizes this radio for the price is nuts.
