Check the voltage coming out before putting this into service. Advice for any inverter.
Bill Oliver•February 9, 2018
I don't write bad reviews, this is a warning on installing any inverter. Check the output with a multi meter or outlet tester every time you install one. Do not assume that the thing is wired up correctly inside.
I really wanted this to work, this inverter has all of the features I wanted, but I will not make do with a devise that is built to KILL. The voltage coming out of this is 120 Volts AC, the only place that should be at is the "Line" or "hot" connection. This inverter showed 120 volts on the Neutral connection as well. I sent it back and ordered another one, anybody can have a bad day at work and make a mistake. I use Amazon because of the great delivery and quality of products, also the great return policies.
The next one arrived, I wired it in and it did the same thing. Bad from the factory, in a very dangerous way, neutral is never to have voltage, both were electrocution hazards based on all electrical standards.
The tool in the picture shows 3 lights, that is showing voltage on both hot and neutral. It should only have 2 lights on as a correctly wired outlet.
Edit:
After an email from the company that make this, I found that it is wired correctly and it does work as designed. It works for 120 volt AC power to individual devices, not distributed power as in an RV, house or boat. For those applications extra work is involved to make it safe, better to use an inverter designed for distribution of power.

keeping cool the unit

I recomend 100% this worthy inverter. It's my only power supply to my house, after the hurricane Maria over Puerto Rico. It moves the LED lights, 1 freezer, 2 fans, TV, computer with printer, and a washing machine, with the help of 4 265W solar panels, 1 80A charge controller, and 8 cheap car batteries, with a total payment of @ $1,600. The inverter's fan turns on frequently, keeping cool the unit. It never let me down.
