I had one great month use out of them. Not sure what is going on but one of the light set works perfectly fine. The other one stopped working. They are connected near each other and receive the same amount of sun to charge the lights. Maybe I have one bad unit. I'll contact customer service and see what can be done. I would have rated them 5 stars as it was doing what we intended it for. A Mama Mia type setting is now gone and now we are starting to entertain out back.

The first 2 strings of these nice LED lights had a few bad bulbs, and no one sells the 3 volt 1 watt led arrays so Brightech sent me a complimentary set FREE! Thanks! I cut it down for a shorter 8 ft. span. Well then LW wanted to do another 45 ft. span. ( lights are supported by 3/16" wire rope) but went I went to purchase price had jumped from 60 to 120 bucks! No Thanks! I guess Brightech got the message and price dropped close to original purchase and I bought 2 more sets. I mounted the Solar cells on the tree trunk so they don't have full exposure but still stay lit for over 4 hours. I used a 1/4" lag bolt and washer with a short piece of rubber hose that fit the plastic tube mount. By tightening the bolt the rubber expands and grips, so far it's survived some pretty strong winds! Thankfully that's all the trees in the yard, they look pretty cool!

I bought these to string under the pergola in our back yard. The string is long enough to go from one corner to the other. After about a month, the lights are working fine - they come on each night and provide enough light to meet our needs. One neat feature that I discovered after reading the instructions is that the lights automatically shut off after 6 hours. That way they don't stay on all night, discharging the batteries. And you don't get that deal where the lights flash on and off when the battery runs out of electricity. One reason I bought this particular item is because it looked to be better made and more robust than the "Christmas Tree" light strings that I had bought previously. And the solar panel comes with a spring clip to attach to the pergola rather than just a plastic stake to stick it in the ground. The price was a little more than some of the others I saw on Amazon, but I think that it is worth it for the more robust build and higher quality. I would buy these again.

We were very excited when the lights arrived a month ago. We installed them immediately in our entry courtyard and they were perfect, created a soft glow without being harsh. Here comes the one star... they worked for 2 days. We have gone over everything we can think of that would be a problem but still no light. Brightec had sent a follow up email on our purchase so I responded with our problem, not once but twice, and they have never responded. I now have no recourse but to return the lights and find another source for our solar string lights. Apparently, I waited too long for a response from Brightec since the "window" to return the lights closed on 4/15/18.

Bought these about a month ago and they've been great so far! I had been searching for solar-powered bistro string lights for a while because 1) I really wanted bistro string lights and 2) my balcony doesn't have a power outlet. There are a bunch of solar-powered string lights on Amazon but most of them had very tiny bulbs. These ones are the same size as the regular bistro lights you see at restaurants/bars only they are made out of plastic, not glass. I hang them along the metal balcony railing and it can get windy sometimes, so I'm fine with the bulbs being plastic (the plastic seems pretty durable). Super easy installation and instructions.
They've been coming on a little before the sun is done setting "“ when they are about to turn on, they blink intermittently for about a minute before they stay on. I was surprised by how bright they can get! I don't really know how long they stay lit for because I turn them off before going to bed but the power seems to store for a decent amount of them. I've definitely forgotten to turn the solar panel back on before leaving the house in the morning but they still light up normally when I come home and turn the power on despite not charging during the daytime. My building/area gets a lot of sunlight so I can't speak for how well these work in darker/shadier locations. I wish the light was warmer/more yellow toned than white.
All in all, I recommend these!
