I just got these and put them on my porch railing so can't say if they are super durable and long lasting yet, but so far so good. Even though they are like the fairy lights in very thin tubes, they are even brighter than typical rope lights. They change colors easily and flashing is easy to adjust as well. I'm very pleased and would buy these again.

I would have liked a little more control with being able to set color combinations. But they are great otherwise, they are waterproof and are kinda like rope light meets fairy light. Yes they have clear vinyl tubeing but much thinner than rope lights. Very bright.: note - make sure where you place the sensor is easy for you to point the remote to. Especially if you are putting them outside
