In my search for an auto scanner that was simple to use and would fit
my vehicle I found there were a lot of options some expensive (for my
budget) and some inexpensive. The Automobile Diagnostic Code Reader
NI100 by THZY is a good choice for a simple to use diagnostic scanner.
There are not many bells and whistles to this scanner but its usable
to achieve the diagnostic results that the purchaser wants. It will
diagnosis your vehicle and read all the results that are pertinent to
your vehicle. It reads Live Data so that the user can know the real
time results of their vehicle. There is also a Freeze Frame component
so that it takes a snapshot of the Live Data so that it can be recorded
by the user. This diagnostic scanner will read and erase the fault codes
found within your system and turn off the check engine light. But, in
order for the check engine light to remain off after the fault code has
been erased the problem has to be fixed. The only cons that I have found
with this scanner is: (a) it want read the VIN information for my '01
Chrysler or any pertinent information that is related to this option. The
scanner may or may not read this information for all vehicles.;(b) it
will not read or erase the fault code for the systems such as the ABS.
In order to read this system a scanner that has the capability to read
the ABS system must be purchased. I give this scanner a 3 out of 5 star
rating because it is inexpensive and does the basic diagnostic read that
it was designed to do.

its a nice little tool every must have take the guess work of why my check engine lite is on, its easy to use and ecomimical since my last sanner was a snap on scanner that i used as a certified technitian in the auto industry for over 30 years. i am retired now.i defenite recomended to every one including women, my daugthers use it.

It seems to work fine. I didn't have any problems for it to report right now. I got it because I think the peace of mind of having an idea what the problem might be when that service engine soon light comes on (and therefore I can ballpark what it should cost, or even maybe fix it myself) is worth the expense of the scanner. It's a little hard to read the instructions but operation of the device seems to be pretty straightforward.

I only don't give it five stars because of the instructions being a little complicated. They could have made a more quick reference guide I think. It wasn't until the very end (p 14) that I got to what I wanted to know about, which is what probably most people buying this product are looking for: how to run a diagnostic and read the results.

Great scanner for a non mechanic like me. Simple easy to use. Loads auto data quickly. No looking up codes. Very clear panel to view. Even checks your battery. On one of the cars I tried, it left a code that it wasn't connected properly. After review the car connector had some issues. If you don't have a trustworthy mechanic this scanner will let you know whats going on. You can also clear out the error codes.
Do note. Read directions. Never plug or unplug while car is running or ignition key turned on. Simple to use. I highly recommend!
